Quantum Emerging Ecosystem

QLocked provides solutions on advanced applications of quantum technologies relying on controlled light matter interactions at a single photon level. We focus on development of quantum emitters and their integration into nanophotonic devices as well as their use in different applications, with a specific focus on secure quantum communication.

Quantum Light Sources

Advancing in non-classical light sources as building blocks of quantum enabled technologies is critical for emerging quantum applications and devices. We develop efficient solid-state based single photon and entangled photon pair sources, e.g., quantum dots and color centers in 2D or 3D materials. We also work on engineering the properties of quantum emitters to empower their potential in practical applications within quantum technologies, such as quantum key distribution systems or quantum frequency converters.

Quantum Secure Communication

Utilizing the fundamental laws of quantum physics in communication technologies offers an ultimate security even against quantum computers. As QLocked team, we develop quantum key distribution systems using different flying qubit sources, such as single defects in hexagonal boron nitride as room temperature single photon source, to operate under different quantum channels, i.e., fiber, space, or underwater.
